Fertiliser Fundraiser
The clubs annual fundraiser is essential to keep the members subs as low as possible and contribute towards the clubs insurance costs.
Important Notice for all Invercargill Rowing Club Members and Supporters
The Invercargill Rowing Club’s major annual fundraising event is its fertiliser sales drive. This fundraiser helps reduce the annual individual member subs by over $400 each to make them more affordable and needs to involve every club member and or their supporting families. The 2024 drive is underway, so please note the following dates and activities associated with the fundraiser.
Every Saturday morning from 24 August to 28 September 2024 – Bagging and delivering fertiliser orders 8.00am to about 11.00am (Each rowing squad/crew will have rostered weekends, but we need parent assistance as well)
The base depot for the bagging and distribution this year will be at 815 North Road, Lorneville, in the NE corner of the large shed, NZ Wools Depot, thanks to the generosity of one of our many club supporters.
You will also be called upon to assist with delivering the advertising flyers to north Invercargill residences from the first week of August. Along with putting labels on the fertiliser bags and filling the bags with garden fertiliser prior to the fertiliser deliveries commencing. Flyer deliveries to south Invercargill & Otatara will commence during the week of 25 August.
It is important that we know that we have enough people on the day to do the fertiliser deliveries, so can you please either email Julie Dyer jcdyer@outlook.co.nz or
phone/text 027 222 3518 to confirm your availability for all or part of the 6-week period and leave a contact phone number.
The fertiliser deliveries require 8 to 10 vehicles with trailers each weekend over 6 weeks. From the list of available people Julie will roster an appropriate number of vehicles and people for each weekend, dependant on the level of orders received for that week and either phone, or text you to reconfirm your availability prior to the weekend.
