2023/24 Season Club Awards
Thanks everybody for the great turnout to our clubs 2023/24 rowing season awards and pot luck lunch on Sunday the 19th of May.
Here are the club awards that acknowledge the talented athletes and coaches who have spent tireless hours on the water during the season.
- Kempton Family; Novice Trophy: Lilah Jack and Jordan King for their novice double (Honourable mention to the womens’ novice masters)
- C Brown Builders; Best Performing Male Novice: No contenders this year
- Rex Boniface; Rose Bowl: Awarua coaches for the big help given to our athletes
- McIvor Trophy; Consistent Effort: Maddie Malmstrom
- Galbraith Family; Trophy Most Improved: Ciara Hourston (Honourable mention to Lilah Jack)
- Student Cup: Drew Thomas
- Coxswain Cup: Lily Clark
- King Crab: School girls Kate, Ruby and Drew went to the toilet in the fertiliser depot as the last people were leaving to go home. They got locked in and after setting the security alarm off. They then had to ring Julie, who was halfway home, who them returned to rescue them.
- NZAS Best Performing Double: Maddie Malmstrom and Drew Thomas
- NZAS Best Performing Pair: Virginia Sweney and Cecelia Russell
- President Trophy, Best Performing Single: Tane Wilson (Honourable mention - Mia Brown)
