Deep South Masters Success at 2025 South Island Champs

The 2025 South Island Masters Champs were held on Lake Kaniere, near Hokitika on the West Coast on the 25th and 26th of April and we experienced perfect rowing conditions over the 2 day event.

Many of our IRC master rowers were in composite crews and those that succeeded in bringing home GOLD medals were: Geoff Gorton, William Gorton, Julie Dyer, Debbie Egan, Emily Cullen, Mark Hourston, Ian Hamilton, Steve Dyer and Gavin McKenzie.

Thanks to dual member Frank Dean for orgasnising the training and entries for the squad. Thanks also to Ian Hamilton for towing the skiffs to the event and Steve Dyer for towing them home again.
