Novice Rowers experience the Otago Champs

Thirteen IRC rowers and two coxwains' went to the Otago Champs on Lake Ruataniwha last weekend. They experienced warm windy weather for the heats on Saturday and fine calm weather for the finals on Sunday.

This is the first time that the club has entered a novice eight in a regatta for 20 years. So quite a milestone and memorable occasion. Lily Clark and Shakayla Brown deserve a mention for getting 2nd in the women's novice double A Final. Well done.
