Head of the Yarra Challenge

Not long now before four of our women masters members wing their way to Melbourne, to compete in the Head of the Yarra Race.

The composite crew includes Jacqui van Dam, Cecelia Russell, Virginia Sweney, Katrina Allan from our Invercargill club, Maude O'Connell from Cromwell, Amanda Puddle from Cambridge, Bridget McArthur from North End, Robyn Cameron from Port Chalmers United and coxswain Paule Burke who has returned to rowing after 30 years away from the sport.

The time trial race has 300 eights entered and is to be held on Saturday the 23rd of November 2024. The Womens' E grade eights, which this crew is part of has the largest field of 19 entries.All the best ladies.
