Wanaka Ruby Island Long Distance Row

Awesome paddle around Wanaka's Ruby Island for the Southland crews on Saturday morning. Well done to all the competitors, nice bit of winter training. Thanks for the collaboration from Waihopai with their boat trailer. Challenging conditions but perfect for the coastal boats.

A great effort from Caitlin Te Tai and Penny Barnsdale who raced in the harshest conditions for their first time together as a pair. Frank Dean and fellow rowers dressed for the occasion. Ian Hamilton's coastal quad rowers thrived in these waters. Lots of fun had by all.
