Shakira's Journey on the International Scene

A proud day for our club today as we watch former member Shakira Mirfin race the W2- at the Henley Royal Regatta a prestige event. Shakira will be representing her USA club, University of Washington. A young lady with a quiet demeanour but shows her drive and persistence on the water, hard to believe Shakira was racing on the Oreti River two seasons ago with the support of her coach Jack Allan. We watch with excitement and pride as Shakira and partner Madi Frampton race Ireland contesting for The Hambleden Paris Cup.
